NCTSA State Officers

Kyle Halstater

President

Hey NCTSA! My name is Kyle Halstater and I am your 2017-2018 State President. I have previously served as your Reporter and as your Treasurer. I attend Chapel Hill High School and will be a Junior this upcoming year. I am very excited for this upcoming year and work with such a great officer team to get stuff done! Outside of TSA, I enjoy Biking, Ultimate Frisbee, and generally being outside.

I have participated in TSA since the 6th grade, and I have participated in a wide variety of events, my favorites being Challenging Technology Issues and On Demand Video. I hope to hear for you all, and I am looking forward to an awesome year! If you have any questions or comments, don’t hesitate to contact me at president.nctsa@gmail.com

Neil Williamson

Vice-President

Greeting NCTSA members and friends! My name is Neil Williamson and I am your 2017-2018 Vice President. I am so inspired this year to have an amazing Instagram, conference, and interactive experience between each and everyone of you. Personally I love to paint, write, and run with my peers. I have only been in TSA since 8th Grade, but have had the opportunity to go to Nationals three times. The leadership qualities and experience that I can offer to you all will be helpful.

I hope to meet you all either whether I’m running through the convention centers or competing along side you in an event. Never be afraid to voice your opinion or share pictures referencing TSA @northcarolinatsa on Instagram. Let’s make this the best TSA year our state has ever seen.

vicepresident.nctsa@gmail.com is the best way to contact me at anytime! If anyone ever has a question about an event, guideline, or idea please let me know.

Alexis Porter

Secretary

Hello NCTSA! I’m your 2017-2018 state Secretary, Alexis Porter. I am going to be a senior this coming year. Yay!! I go to Highland School of Technology. I joined TSA my freshman year due to my teachers pushing me to try something new and since then, I have loved everything second of it. This is my second year as your state officer, the first being last year as your reporter. As the year goes on, I hope to give you all a wonderful year and make it as fun and exciting as ever.

I enjoy reading books outside when the weather permits and watching storms as they go by. One of my favorite things to do is to help my grandma when she takes care of her horse. His name is Macintosh and he is the most gentle horse I have ever met. I get to see him once a week to make sure he is happy and healthy. The other thing is to go out to a coffee shop with my friends and just talk. It’s just nice to once in a while sit and get advice on issues. But anyway, if you ever need a friend or need help with TSA, contact me at Secretary.nctsa@gmail.com

Navya Dixit

Treasurer

Hello NCTSA, my name is Navya Dixit and I’m excited to serve as your 2017-2018 State Treasurer! I’m currently a sophomore at Wayne School of Engineering where I have been involved in TSA for the past four years. TSA has broadened my interest in STEM and I hope to bring that interest to the forefront of my work as a State Treasurer.

In my free time, I enjoying reading, swimming, hanging out with my friends, and competing in scholastic events at my school. I also love getting involved with various service projects through Key Club and Mayor’s Youth Council.

My goal is to make NCTSA even better and keep members more updated with new information. I’m excited to work with the other State Officers and look forward to seeing what we will accomplish together this year! Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at treasurer.nctsa@gmail.com

Matthew Pinto

Reporter

Hello NCTSA! My name is Matthew Pinto, and I am your state reporter for the 2017-2018 year. I am currently a Junior at Panther Creek High School and have participated in TSA for the past four years. Previously, I served as my own chapter’s reporter and along the way learned what it takes to maintain communication amongst people and help inspire others to achieve their goals..

A few of my favorite TSA events are: Video Game Design, Engineering Design, and Chapter Team. Each of these events represents various hobbies and interests of mine, and I enjoy competing in them. Outside of TSA, I enjoy running, playing video games, reading books, and traveling.

I am looking forward to the coming year, and I am both honored and excited to be serving NC TSA as your state reporter. It is my hope, that along with myself and the rest of the officer team, we can make this year filled with fun and exciting memories that you will never forget!

I can be reached at: reporter.nctsa@gmail.com

Pavan K. Meka

Sergeant-at-Arms

Hello NCTSA,

My name is Pavan Meka and I will be serving as your Sergeant-at-Arms for 2017-18. I currently attend West Forsyth High School where I will be a Junior in the upcoming school year. As I enter my sixth year in TSA, I can definitely say that this position comes with the greatest amount of honor and responsibility.

What I bring to the State Officer team is pretty simple: I will make sure that opinions from all NCTSA students are heard. In addition to this, I can promise you that every member will see a change in judging this upcoming year. I will work with each State Officer to make sure that judging is done in a more efficient and productive manner at the regional and state conferences.

Outside of TSA, I try my best to distance myself from schoolwork so that I can explore the world. Within the last 2 years, I have visited Germany, India, Canada, Switzerland, and Italy.

If you have any questions or any concerns about TSA, don’t hesitate to contact me through email because your needs will always be more important to me than my own competitive events: (sergeantatarms.nctsa@gmail.com) or (336) 473-3048

I look forward to meeting you at the national conference.
